The CHL is a public establishment managed under the supervision of the Minister of Health. It is administered by an Administrative Commission made up of 13 members representing the Ministry of Health, the City of Luxembourg and the FNM (Norbert Metz Foundation). The management of the CHL is entrusted to a general director assisted by a director of medical, care, administrative and financial services.


Opened in 1976 and with a current capacity of 579 beds, the CHL is a diagnosis, care, treatment, hospitalization, research and teaching center. The CHL today brings together 4 houses, including the Grand Duchess Charlotte Maternity, the Pediatric Clinic, the Municipal Hospital, and since 2003, the Eich Clinic.


CHL is the 10th largest employer in the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg. The CHL staff numbers more than 2,000 members, active in more than 50 distinct professions. Among them, there are some 300 doctors and 1,000 nurses and caregivers.


Each year, the CHL carries out some 29,000 admissions and welcomes around 280,000 patients in outpatient clinics. The ambition of the multidisciplinary teams is to provide care adapted to the demands of the 21st century and the evolving needs of the patient, under the sign of well-being and efficiency.


Since its creation, the CHL has pursued a policy of support and development of medical research and actively participates in educational efforts intended for future doctors and other health professionals.

The tasks of the Parkinson's nurse include information, education and instruction, management of the disease, support for the patient and their loved ones, prevention, care planning, multidisciplinary collaboration, advice on the management of advanced treatments.

The Parkinson's nurse supports people with Parkinson's disease and their loved ones in taking control of their lives.


Main tasks :

Manage onboarding (collection of documents, response to questions, etc.).

Refer and assist patients: Identify the need for care and obtain information about the patient's condition.

Manage and assess specific progression of Parkinson's disease.

Assess motor and non-motor signs using standardized scales.

Manage patient settings.

Manage adverse effects resulting from treatments.

Manage advanced therapies: apomorphine pump, Duodopa pump, deep brain stimulation (DBS).

Manage advanced therapy pens.

Required profile:

Diploma: Hold a nursing diploma as well as an authorization to practice in the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg.

Additional Training/Skills:

Knowledge of neurodegenerative diseases targeted by the skills network and developed clinical judgment.

Knowledge of healthcare and the organization of the healthcare system in Luxembourg.

Analysis and synthesis skills to support complex journeys.

Demonstrated ability to work within a multidisciplinary team.

Organizational and coordination skills.

Administrative and writing skills.

Professional experience: 3 years minimum as well as knowledge of neurology.

Knowledge considered an asset: Hold a diploma in the management of Parkinson's disease. If applicable, the candidate agrees to follow related training.

Computer knowledge: SAP, MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), videoconferencing tools.

Language skills: French, English and German (CEFR B2 level or higher). Any other language spoken in the Grand Duchy will be considered an asset.
