Role Summary:
King's College School is one of the recent additions to the Cascais Inspired Group. The college is currently open to Year 9 and will open to Year 10 next year. Students mainly study the Cambridge International curriculum, but they will also take IGCSEs from other exam boards. When Grade 12 opens in September 2026, the school will run the International Baccalaureate.
The College has rapidly established a reputation for excellence in Portugal and is set to become one of the most highly valued education schools not only in Portugal but also beyond. Its location in one of the most prized districts in Portugal, its unrivaled facilities and excellent staff has led to a significant increase in its student population to 704 students this year (an increase of 55% on last year).
The college will start its new boarding provision in 2024. Facilities include provision for up to 50 pupils, all housed in a complex above the main secondary building within the college walls, with spectacular views of the Sintra mountains and the Atlantic coast. Boarders and boarding staff will have access to school facilities including a 25m swimming pool, tennis and paddle courts, gym, basketball courts, dance and music facilities and 5G AstroTurf for a range of sports including football and rugby.
